Research partner to the Yuanwang-3 tracking ship
What stood in the way
China’s satellite maritime tracking ships spend months at sea, far from any port. Fresh fruit and vegetables run out early in each mission.
A process built for this crop
Under a cooperation agreement with Yuanwang-3, Synarise was the technical lead for the project “Practical compound MAP storage technology for ocean-going fruit and vegetables”. It put a MAP-QT200 tray MAP machine and a CYES-II oxygen tester on board, trained the crew, and set oxygen and CO₂ ratios for each fruit and vegetable. The ship tracked the test produce during real missions.
What changed
Conventional vegetables stayed fresh for more than 50 days. The two parties co-wrote the “Practical guide to fruit and vegetable preservation on ocean ships”, along with reports on cold-chain storage, seasonal resupply and the practicality of compound MAP at sea.
